Montreal

The city of Montreal feels like a trip to Paris within a North American journey. It is the largest city in the province of Quebec, the second-largest in Canada, and the second-largest French-speaking city in the Western world. The city’s French character is an integral part of its identity, giving it a unique look and atmosphere.

Montreal is located at the foot of Mount Royal, the prominent hill at the heart of the island on the Saint Lawrence River. Its center is divided into Old Montreal, the historic core of the city, and Centre-Ville, the modern downtown filled with gleaming skyscrapers and shopping malls.

Surrounding the city are many popular tourist attractions, including the Olympic Park and the islands Île Sainte-Hélène and Île Notre-Dame.
