Toronto

The city of Toronto is the capital of Ontario Province and the largest city in Canada. The metropolitan area surrounding it is home to nearly a quarter of Canada’s population. This metro area is the second largest within the Great Lakes region, after Chicago.

Toronto is a city with a lot to see and do. The towering CN Tower — the tallest building in the entire Western Hemisphere — is the city’s iconic landmark. The tower overlooks the Harbourfront, once Toronto’s transportation hub and now filled with major tourist attractions. Downtown Toronto is also packed with things to see and do.

Around Nathan Phillips Square, the city’s central plaza, you’ll find historic buildings, modern skyscrapers, excellent museums, and bustling ethnic neighborhoods. Queen Street is the city’s main shopping artery, and right near the square is the massive Eaton Centre Mall, offering a full shopping and strolling experience.
