Miami International Airport (MIA)
Miami's major international airport is the primary gateway to Florida and the southeastern United States. The airport is accessible from almost every corner of the world and the USA, with a direct line also arriving from Ben Gurion Airport. This massive airport boasts three terminals and no less than 130 gates. The biggest operator here is American Airlines, with dozens of regular routes within the US, as well as to most of the Caribbean Islands and Central and South America. Orlando International Airport (MCO) Orlando International Airport
The major airport of Orlando caters to the almost legendary tourist movement of the city. Orlando has become one of the busiest and most popular vacation destinations in the USA due to its massive amount of themed amusement parks, led by Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort. The airport is well-connected to all the major hubs in the USA and quite a few destinations in Europe. You can reach Orlando directly via transfers from several European destinations such as London or Frankfurt. The airport is only a twenty-minute drive from Lake Buena Vista and Disney's downtown and twenty minutes from Universal's competing resort.
Tampa International Airport (TPA)
The major airport of the Tampa Bay metropolitan area is located west of downtown Tampa towards Clearwater. The airport is relatively large and connects Tampa with numerous destinations across the USA, as well as a few specific locations in Canada, the Caribbean, and Europe. It is a ten-minute drive from downtown Tampa, a thirty-minute drive from Clearwater, and twenty minutes from St. Petersburg via the Howard Frankland Bridge.
Key West International Airport (EYW)
The easiest way to reach the southern part of the Florida Keys and Key West is by flying directly to the Keys' capital. Although the ideal way to explore this chain of islands is by taking a picturesque drive across the bridges of Highway 1, you can skip the delight with a direct flight right into the heart of the action. The drive from Key West to Miami takes over three hours, so the small airport is perfect for those who want to head straight to Key West. The airport is accessible from several major U.S. airports, such as Newark, O'Hare in Chicago, Atlanta, and even Miami. There are seasonal flights from many airports across the U.S. The travel time from the terminal to Duval Street, the heart of Key West, is only about ten minutes.
Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL)
The Fort Lauderdale airport is located a bit south of the city's center, about half an hour north of Miami. It receives most low-cost flights and generally domestic flights are cheaper there. For those arriving on a domestic flight intending to stay in the northern parts of the metropolis, landing at Fort Lauderdale is much more convenient, and getting from there to northern destinations in the metropolis is very quick and saves the traffic jams when leaving Miami to the north. The train line that seems to pass at the airport actually passes about 2 km west of it, and the train station is on Route 95, from which or to which you'll need to take a free bus from the airport.
Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) – West Palm Beach
The small municipal airport is the most efficient solution for those who want to go straight to the city and the legendary Palm Beach. It is located just south of downtown West Palm Beach, a ten-minute drive from the city center and Palm Beach. The airport is relatively active and well-connected with all the major airports in the USA and Canada, both on the east and west coasts.
Jacksonville International Airport (JAX)
The Jacksonville International Airport is located north of the downtown area of the large city in North Florida, just a twenty-minute drive away by car. The airport is accessible from almost every corner of the USA and is well-connected to all the major ports on the Atlantic Coast, the Midwest, as well as Los Angeles and Las Vegas on the Pacific Coast. There are also very convenient routes from Miami and Fort Lauderdale, for those who don't want to drive too far from South Florida.
Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB)
Despite its grand name, the airport of Daytona is small, and most who visit the city come through Orlando. The airport has very limited routes, mainly connected with Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta, the most connected airport in the US. The airport is adjacent to the famous Daytona Beach racing facility, just a 5-minute drive from the beach.
