The Las Vegas Strip – All Hotels and Attractions
The Las Vegas Strip is the ground zero of the world of tourism and leisure. It's the most intense place on earth for gambling and a generic spot for a thrilling nightlife escape. Gambling was the foundation for the city’s development as a tourist destination, but the hotels and resorts on the Strip have grown far since the heydays of Bugsy Siegel and Sin City. Today, the hotels offer rare vacation opportunities with pools, spa facilities, indoor malls within the casinos, and a huge variety of entertainment options. The Strip's hotels are the freest places in the world with options for drinks, restaurants, buffets, and everything imaginable for fun all day and night.

How many days do you need for a trip to the Las Vegas Strip?
No matter where you stay (preferably on the Strip), dedicate at least two days to explore the hotels and attractions on the Strip, regardless of leisure and relaxation at the resort hotel.

What is the Las Vegas Strip?
- The Las Vegas Strip, or the southern part of Las Vegas Boulevard, is the most touristy street in the world.
- The Strip is Vegas in its true form. Along several kilometers west of the legendary McCarran Airport (now named after Harry Reid), you'll find an unbelievable concentration of massive casino hotels filled with countless entertainment and leisure attractions, 24/7/365.
- The Strip is a world unto itself, detached from Earth. It's a parallel universe of fun, entertainment, and sins, where time moves independently from the sparkling neon lights, the stimuli are endless, and the atmosphere is pure fantasy at its best.

- The Las Vegas Strip is like a giant amusement park akin to Disney World, but for adults. You can find everything on the Strip – luxury hotels (and also cheap motels), lavish casinos, shopping malls, attractions for the whole family, large spa areas, entertainment venues, and more.
- The Strip is the tourist center of Las Vegas, visited by about 35 million tourists each year (yes, on one street)
- It is located in an unofficial city called Paradise, which technically is a district in Las Vegas

The development of the Strip in the nineties
The Strip was more or less established at the beginning of the 1940s with the purchase of the Flamingo Hotel by two Jewish mobsters, Bugsy Siegel and Meyer Lansky. In 1966, Caesar's Palace opened across from it, which has since been considered one of the largest and most famous hotels in Vegas. Vegas' world of sin developed at this time in the downtown area, separately on Fremont Street.

- In 1989, the Mirage's massive resort opened, shifting the center of the gambling and entertainment world south from downtown Vegas.
- Following the Mirage, dozens of enormous hotel and gambling resorts opened at a breakneck pace, with the Strip undergoing unimaginable growth over ten years.
- Since the mid-90s, Vegas officially became the leading vacation destination in the USA, offering in-house entertainment options in the giant hotels.
- The hotels competed against each other and launched grandiose tourist attractions.

The city of Vegas and the Strip are an integral part of American culture, with dozens of Hollywood blockbusters focusing on the city and its essence. Phrases like “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” or the moniker Sin City vividly express the place's detachment from mundane reality, serving as an almost ideal escape for Americans and tourists from abroad.
The leading establishments on the Strip like the Bellagio, Venetian, Caesars Palace (examples of the distinctive Italian theme of the local hotel scene), and more have become tourist attractions in their own right with the iconic fountains of the Bellagio or the Venetian canals.

Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino
The Flamingo Hotel and Casino was once the glitziest place in the world. Nowadays, its main significance is largely historical and geographical. The large and somewhat outdated hotel sits at the intersection of Flamingo Road and South Las Vegas Boulevard, considered the center of the Strip. Opposite the Flamingo, the shiny Caesars Palace complex has been built, and nearby are all of Vegas's important hotels and main attractions.

The hotel opened its doors in 1946, standing alone in the then-desert area. With about 3,500 rooms, it was an oasis for tourists to gamble under the Mafia's protection. The hotel played a significant role in transforming Vegas into what it is today, mainly thanks to the legendary figure of Jewish mobster Bugsy Siegel, who managed the hotel after its opening. Siegel is credited with combining the sinful world with entertainment and tourism, turning the grand hotel into an institution that effectively established the Strip about forty years later.

Today, the giant hotel is operational and considered one of the cheaper ones along the Strip, mainly due to its advanced age. The hotel boasts a large casino hall, an outdoor pool, and plenty of in-house facilities and businesses. Officially, it's presented as a three-star hotel, with its main advantage being the super-central location, right across from Caesars Palace and The Bellagio, not far from The Venetian.

Caesars Palace Hotel
Just as the Flamingo’s location is considered the heart of the Strip, so is Caesars Palace, which is located just across the road on the west side of the broad avenue. Caesars Palace is one of the three great Italian institutions of the Strip (along with the Venetian and Bellagio) and one of the most famous and significant hotels in Vegas.
The hotel opened in 1966 across from the Flamingo, back when most of the city's casino hotels were on Fremont Street in Downtown. This massive resort has about 4,000 rooms, most of which have been renovated, though some are quite dated. It is a four-star hotel originally built around a clear Roman theme. This theme is reflected in many aspects of the hotel, including staff dressed as gladiators in the casino hall (for those who remember Joey's job from Friends in Vegas), interior design and architecture influenced by the Roman world, and more.
The grand auditorium of the museum – The Colosseum (what else?) is an attraction in its own right with a big variety of entertainment events. The auditorium has about 4300 seats and hosts a wide range of events and performances. In the northern part of the hotel, you'll find The Forum Shops at Caesars, one of the most beloved open-air shopping malls in Las Vegas.
If you're missing a touch of luxury, the resort has opened in its southern part the NOBU Hotel Las Vegas, the premium section of Caesars Palace, offering 5-star deluxe service.
