The museum’s grand performance hall, The Colosseum, is an attraction in itself with a wide array of entertainment events.

In the northern part of the hotel is The Forum – The Forum Shops at Caesars, one of the most beloved open-air malls in Las Vegas. The Bellagio Fountains are another one of Vegas' most recognizable landmarks and a top tourist destination for anyone visiting the city.

5 Tips from Guy for a Perfect Stay on the Las Vegas Strip

The Las Vegas Strip is ground zero for tourism and leisure. It's the most intense place in the world for gambling and a generic name for an escape with a taste of exciting nightlife. Gambling was the foundation for the city's development as a tourist destination, but the Strip's hotels and resorts have evolved immensely since the merry days of Bugsy Siegel and Sin City. Nowadays, the hotels offer rare vacation options with pools, spa facilities, covered malls inside casinos, and a vast array of entertainment choices. The Strip's hotels are the most liberated place in the world with options for drinking, dining, buffets, and anything you can think of to have fun at any time of the day.

With the establishment of the Flamingo in the 1950s by Jewish mobster Bugsy Siegel, the city quickly overflowed from the mafia world to an empire of entertainment and enjoyment that catered to the customers' needs in the highest quality possible. Huge, dazzling, and famous resorts were built on the Strip, becoming top hotel brands that wildly satisfy the customers' desires. Today, Las Vegas is the realization of a fantasy world with massive casinos, quality entertainment, gigantic buffet restaurants, huge pools, parks, and an enormous variety of attractions and amusements.

  1. What is the Strip? – The Las Vegas Strip, or the southern part of the Las Vegas Boulevard, is the most tourist-friendly street in the world, located in an unofficial area known as Paradise, technically a township in the city of Las Vegas. The Strip essentially defines Vegas, stretching several kilometers west of McCarran Airport, with an unbelievable concentration of massive casino hotels, offering a vast array of attractions for entertainment and leisure, 24/7/365. The Las Vegas Strip is like a giant amusement park similar to Disney World, but for adults. You can find everything on the Strip – luxury hotels (and budget motels), lavish casinos, shopping malls, family attractions, large spa areas, entertainment venues, and more.
  2. How do you get to Las Vegas? – Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) is located right near the Strip. The airport, more commonly known by its former name McCarran, is situated east of the Strip, just a 5 to 10-minute drive from the center of the Strip, near the Bellagio and Caesars Palace. The main freeway in Las Vegas is the I-15, which connects Los Angeles with Salt Lake City. The driving time from Los Angeles to Las Vegas is nearly four hours. This route is bustling with heavy vehicle traffic due to the vast Los Angeles metropolitan area. Because of Las Vegas's relative proximity to Los Angeles, the city is almost officially considered part of the metropolis and the main entertainment spot for the city.
  3. When to visit Las Vegas? – You can head to Las Vegas any hour of the day and any day of the year. The desert city is deeply influenced by the weather, although visitors to the Strip hardly notice it. The Vegas Strip is like an autonomous indoor world where air conditioning maintains a constant temperature, humidity is always controlled (it’s dry in the desert), and sparkling neon lights replace sunlight. The weather in Las Vegas is desert-like, with scorching, dry summers and pleasant winters, and the city gets very little rain that hardly ever affects daily life. Except for perhaps a short period in winter when it's not really worth hitting the hotel’s luxurious pool because it's quite chilly (there are plenty of other ways to enjoy a day in swimwear, such as indoor pools, spa facilities, etc.). The rest of the year, pools are an awesome place to spend the afternoons, just after the breakfast buffet and before the siesta.
  4. Read online reviews before booking – The Las Vegas Strip is a giant of tourism and luxury hotels, and it's hard to go wrong, especially if you're staying at the well-known brands. If the prices at the Bellagio or Venetian are too steep when you're there, consider staying at less glamorous hotels on or near the Strip. Just make sure to read reviews on Booking or TripAdvisor, so you don't end up at a truly bad hotel.
  5. Get to know the hotel virtually – Today’s technology lets you visit a hotel from your computer at home. A short tour around the hotel on Google Street View lets you understand the nature of the hotel's environment and the hotel itself. In this virtual tour, you can see what surrounds the hotel and how close it is to the traveler terminal.
